On December 19, 2019 the EU-VIORMED study protocol was published in BMC Psychiatry (2018 Impact Factor: 2.666).
The protocol carefully describes the core of the three-year project represented by a case-control study linked to a prospective cohort study with a wide European coverage: Northern Europe (UK), Western Europe (Germany and Austria), Eastern Europe (Poland), and Southern Europe (Italy). In particular, the study protocol provides details about the EU-VIORMED sample and recruitment procedures from September 2018 onwards for both people suffering from schizophrenia spectrum disorders with a history of significant violence (cases, recruitment completed in September 2019) and controls (recruitment will be completed in March 2020).
The EU-VIORMED project embraces an open access data policy and the study protocol is a freely available online content
